Critchfield, Critchfield & Johnston, Ltd., has elected Robert C. Gorman of its Wooster office as the Firm’s Managing Member.
Gorman succeeds Daniel H. Plumly, who served as the Firm’s Managing Member since the Firm adopted its current management structure in 2001.
“I am at the point in my career where I want to focus more fully on serving my clients and developing additional business for the firm, as well as having someone else deal with the day-to-day administrative duties that the position requires, and I am pleased that Bob is ready to assume the management duties of the Firm,” Plumly said.
Gorman, who practices employment and business law, said, “This transition has been in the works for a couple of years, and Dan has strategically positioned the Firm to take advantage of our strengths,” Gorman said. “I look forward to helping the Firm build upon its successes, continuing to focus on providing superior legal solutions for our clients.”
Gorman is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the University of Akron School of Law, where he finished first in his class. He has been with the Firm since 1997.
“Our Firm has doubled in size in the last 15 years, due primarily to our ability to deliver efficient, quality and valuable advice to our client base,” said Gorman. “We are committed to doing what it takes to best serve our clients in a fast-changing world.”
