Overview
Kim Rose’s legal career began in the courtroom as an assistant prosecutor. As he transitioned into private practice, and for the first twenty years of his career, he focused mainly on litigation. Eventually, Kim found himself spending less time in the courtroom and more time acting as the “Trusted Advisor” for his clients, their businesses, and their families. In this role, Kim is able to act as a general counsel utilizing his litigation experience, business background, and the resources of Critchfield.
He now serves as general counsel to a number of businesses and organizations while reserving a portion of his practice to be the “family’s lawyer.”
Kim has:
- Successfully litigated a number of civil matters including personal injury and estate/trust matters resulting in seven-figure awards.
- Completed numerous major mergers and acquisitions.
- Assisted thousands of families in complex and simple probate and trust matters.
Kim obviously enjoys variety in his practice and successfully guiding his clients through the legal system. He is also an Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) panel attorney and an accredited attorney through the Veteran’s administration.
Kim is devoted to his community. He has served on a number of community boards and working with other community-minded individuals, assisted in the revitalization of downtown Mount Vernon, which included serving as chair of Foundation Park Conservancy and Mount Vernon Development Company. Kim’s work, knowledge, and creativity in downtown revitalization have resulted in his appointment to the Redevelopment Institute.
His role as a community leader has also led Kim to sit on a number of corporate boards, including Ariel Corporation, Park National Bank (North Central Division Advisory Board), and Redevelopment Institute.
