Overview
With nearly 30 years of experience, Garrett Roach has developed a practice that specializes in complex business matters, estate and business succession planning, real estate development, and oil and gas.
Garrett is a Holmes County native and has a keen understanding of the unique local community and the needs and values of his clients. A majority of his practice involves business entity formation, corporate governance, business contracts, and mergers and acquisitions. His specialization also includes the development of sophisticated estate and business succession plans for multi-generational families. These plans address issues such as reducing estate tax exposure, ensuring a smooth transition from one generation to the next, and preserving harmony among family members and owners.
Garrett has been actively involved in real estate development and transactions. He has represented developers with planning and zoning matters, subdivision and condominium development, structuring tax-deferred exchanges, and all types of real estate contracts and transactions.
The firm’s Millersburg office has always been heavily involved in the representation of producers and landowners with oil and gas issues. Garrett has developed a depth of experience with issues related to mineral titles, such as lease forfeiture, the Dormant Mineral Act, and the Marketable Title Act. He also handles matters related to oil and gas leases, pipelines and pipeline easements, and royalties.
